England is a very special place to me, I have some great friends there and I feel the people are very friendly and loyal. I also love seeing homes and cottages in the UK, because they usually feel so homey, so cozy and welcoming. The square footage is often at a premium in many of these properties, but even the big ones have something very warm about them. I believe it’s because the English often decorate with their heart and family in mind. The British somehow knows how to keep what really matters to them and you rarely find homes without patina, without history.
Today’s cottage is located in Lincolnshire, in the east of England and you know it was decorated with love from the top to bottom. It’s a delicate place, a place to dream sweet dreams and it’s easy to imagine being a little happier just because you are there.
This is a girly cottage and we love it! Don’t we?
Living Room
I like how serene yet livable this living room is. It’s a small space but very well designed. Take a look at that great desk.

Having a desk backing to a sofa is fantastic! Notice the gorgeous chandelier and the wall sconce on the left.

I like the DIY “art” the homeowner did by covering a canvas with the same fabric she uses on pillows and throw.

I won’t lie, I love big and luxurious kitchens, but I dream with a tiny cottage kitchen like this one…

You guys know how much I love benches on a eating area, right? It’s casual and fun, especially when it’s a vintage one, like in this picture.

There’s something so great about little English cottages, they’re often so simple and inviting. They make you wish you could pack your bags, get in a plane and stay there for a month, just reading, preparing comfort food and why not, drinking tea!
