A modern-organic design was the highest priority in this project. The homeowner wanted a feeling to emerge when you entered the home. The layering of earthly materials added contrast against neutral-raw colors and sheens. Natural stone, woods, glass, and metal all played supporting roles in a very harmonious design. All theses elements are very simple on their own, yet when layered in a space, create warmth and beauty with a very serine sense of design. Within the kitchen, the homeowner also wanted the stainless steel appliances to play into the modern organic design without taking center stage. The warmth in the reconstituted walnut cabinets balanced the stone, metal, and other natural surfaces . The warm and cool color tones with all elements in this home worked beautifully together. The lighting was also a main design element that was selected from the very beginning. This linear chandelier in the kitchen created sparkle against the muted woods, and enhanced the plumbing fixtures and appliances with the added sheen. All in all, elemental elegance.
