Getting the right look of your living will depend on the accessories you decorate it with, not the usual chunky furniture that is commonly found in this frequently used space.Try to choose pieces that are unique and special to you.
Remember that you don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars on accessories for your living room, it’s all about how they look, not the price tag hanging off them.

Having designer curtain poles can be a great feature to have if you have curtains. You can buy affordable curtain poles with intricate patterns that look like they cost a lot more than what they did. They’re a feature that will get noticed, so choose something with a simple but interesting pattern.
Lamps
A lamp can change the way a room feels once the sun has gone down. Having a lamp on a side table or a tall one placed in the corner of the room can add a nice glow during the evening. They’re always noticed when turned on and are a great source of light that will give your living room a warm, comfortable feeling.
Cushions
Adding cushions to your sofa will make your living area comfortable and look more designer. Having light, simple patterned cushions can be a nice touch, and will be an eye-catching accessory to have in your living room.
Rugs
If you have a wooden floor in your living room, having a large rug can make the area feel cozy and will keep the room warmer. If you have plain coloured walls, try buying a rug with a bold pattern on it but that matches the colors used in your living room. The intricate pattern will draw the eye of visitors and will give the space that desired designer look.
Pictures and Canvases
If you’ve gone with the ‘one wall with wallpaper, three walls without’ trend you don’t really need pictures or any canvases on your walls, unless you have a large living space. You already have a nice feature wall and shouldn’t clutter it with wall art. But if you are thinking of having a picture on your wall, stick to something simple, but remarkable. A picture is worth a thousand words and can be a nice detail to have on the wall of your living room.
