How do you imagine your dream home to be? My dream home has a sandy beach and the ocean as backyard, just like this place. This stunning French-inspired beach home is located in Malibu and possess the picturesque charm of the South of France.
This home is not a dream only because of its location, but also because of the way it was constructed and decorated. Take for example the rooftop, that’s composed of three layers of tile and illustrates the many facets of classic French style. Extremely detailed in conception and design, this two bedroom, three bathroom home couldn’t feel warmer, with its 30 year old oak floors and wall colors.
The living room has been decorated with Belgium linen sofas, distressed leather club chairs, and custom built bookcases which spans the length and height of one wall anchored by a large natural stone fireplace. The main living area features a Clive Christian designed kitchen with luxurious appliances including a La Cornue stove, Sub Zero refrigerator and Miele dishwasher.
The atmosphere is relaxed, with an unerring eye for detail as it exudes space with its vaulted beamed ceilings, unique architectural elements, and comfortable and cozy furnishings.
Hearing the Weaves
This is what this house is all about…
Kitchen
This French-inspired kitchen is breathtaking!
Shinning
These antique stools are incredible!
Beams
Every detail in this kitchen was truly well-designed and selected. Are you feeling inspired?
Counterstool can be found here.
Kitchen & Dining
Great transition from the kitchen to the dining room.
You Eat To Live and Not Live to Eat
Keep everything simple, so your attention is always focused on the views.
Table
This table works perfectly with the chairs. It creates a great balance with the rest of the decor.
Arched
The beautiful mirror accentuates the arched nook.
Cheers!
I love this built-in bar/cabinet. Isn’t it so charming?
Living Room
This house is not huge, but it has many built-ins and space to display what you want to or hide some other things that aren’t attractive.
Green
Stunning coffee table.
Layering Leather
An older leather club chair is all you need to bring charm into a room.
Master Bedroom
I’ll be very honest. I think this room should feel lighter. The furnishings are very “heavy” for a beach house. The bed is the only piece of furniture I’d keep in this room.
Bathroom
Isn’t that tub inviting?
Guest Bedroom
This guest bedrooms has a better feeling than the master. Well done!
Covered Patio
Can you imagine enjoying this view every day?
Come On Over
Invite your friends to spend the afternoon here.
Blue
Let’s walk and talk about what’s happening in our lives at this moment…
Backyard
No lawn mowing around here! ๐
Wash
Let the waves wash away any stress…

What do you think of this French-inspired dream home? Is it your style?
This weekend was great! Remember when I said it’s difficult to do everything we want to do with a baby? Well, it’s true. Whenever we get out, we feel a bit stressed because we have to bring so many things and I’m the kind of mother that feels really bad if my baby don’t eat on the right time.
Having said that, I don’t want to make my older kids to feel this summer isn’t being adventurous like the other ones, and I’ve decided we’ll have more fun with things around us and even at home.
We went to the library last week and I got a very easy recipe book (for kids/teens that are learning to cook) and I gave it to the kids to choose what they want to make. My son chose pizza and my daughter, chocolate cake. So, we went to the supermarket on Saturday and they bought all the ingredients we needed and we cooked a lot when we came back home.
Cooking with kids is fun, but you need to learn to be calm. Don’t worry too much about the mess, after all, they’re learning! Besides, no one can have fun with a grumpy person with a cloth on hands!
Everything turned out to be very yummy and the best of all, is knowing the kids really enjoyed it and felt we had a really great weekend.
Life does not create memories without efforts. Everyday feels blank and the same when we don’t move and act.
What kind of memory are you going to create today? Make the effort.

Wow to be that close to the oceans edge..heavenly!! Such a beautiful home, there is nothing like being on the water, and the ocean is the creme de la creme! Glad to hear you are well, having fun with the kids….patience is needed when cooking with them but you are creating priceless memories!
Love the decor in this home. Funny, I have been to this area many times, I have fond memories of Malibu. This is where I meet my hubby.
I remember planning art projects with my children…a fun time. You sound like a great Mom. Enjoy, it goes by so fast!
I’m already in my dream home and I feel very fortunate for that. Although a little water wouldn’t hurt, love that view and that home.
I love cooking and how fun to be able to teach your kids to cook. I can imagine how much fun that is turning out to be.

This is a gorgeous home. I went to the website to get a closer look. WOW. Where to you find those bar stools.
Custommade? The chandelier is wonderful. I love all the touches and with it having only two bedrooms, you limit sleepovers.
Lovely home, lovely kitchen. Not sure where the inspiration for the large “groove” inset in the kitchen island came from. I would have the contractor re-do the island top.
Truly beautiful and the views are breathtaking! A little too close to the neighbors for me – but I think I could live with it.
You sound like such a patient and wonderful Mom, Luciane. These types of activities are the ones they remember forever. Hugs to you My friend!
It’s perfection – love the barrel vaulted ceiling in the dining room! Who doesn’t want to own a Malibu beach house?? ๐
Now, this is a beach house! Reminds me a little of my own home….WOW! The kids are cooking now, one of my all time favorite things to do with kids their age. I used to use cooking time to help kids learn about fractions! Wishing you all a wonderful summer. xoxo
Hi Lucianne,
