What an honor to be here today while Luciane is taking some time off. I was thrilled when she asked me to participate as a guest on her ever so lovely blog. Thank you, Luciane, this is a real treat!
Now onto today’s post…
Why is it that the hallway or passage way is often the most neglected part of the home? Sure they provide access to other rooms in the house, but they might as well be enjoyable to walk through, don’t you think?! With a little bit of planning and style, they can be transformed into a thing of beauty. I would say these are a few of my favorites. What do you think?
Best regards,
Marianne.

Agree..it is often neglected but it doesnt’ have to be, and with a little help..it can hold its own! Beautiful examples of it done just right….Marianne is so talented, I agree. Luciane, enjoy your time off!
Hallways are very overlooked sometimes and you’ve shown some wonderful examples how to lighten them up. Thank you for introducing Marianne to us!
Enjoy your day!

The entrance under the staircase is simply amazing! Thanks for the idea, now, how to put it to use. Thanks, Marianne, take care Luciane.
Beautiful images! Beautiful blog post.
I agree…the entrance or passageway is so important and should not be neglected. Often times it seems people only see this part of the house as they drop off or pick up and it’s their first impression. My entry is actually my favorite room in the house.I do love the image with the double doors and that huge mirror propped on the floor…I’m sure it’s secured, but it looks so pretty that way. And of course a gorgeous table for fresh flowers. Be back tomorrow for more “Pinterst fuel.”

Two of my favorite girls! (Marianne is my fave westcoast blog, design & wine buddy!).
The entrance should really be a reality check – this is what the house and the owners are all about!
Lovely examples.
Hugs to you both.

Wonderful House, I like it!!

hi girlz!
the first image makes me long for all that millwork magic, marianne. my entry is nice, but it looks mediocre and naked in comparison.
stay classy!
(lame but always wanted to sign out that way.)

What a great archway! Unless I’m mistaken the side panels are in fact doors leading to storage under the stairs? That’s a guess but the missing quarter round molding on the floor suggests it. A bigger entrance with extra storage is a win-win, love it.
hi
it amazing ๐
beautiful images.
