Hello everyone! I’m taking a day off today, but I have a very special friend writing a guest post for us.
Sheila, from SZ Interiors is a very talented interior designer and she’s also specialized in home staging, so if you’re selling your home, you should give her a call for some tips!
I invited Sheila here today because I knew she would prepare a very special guest post for us. Her post is about a beautiful place in British Columbia, Canada and I’m sure you’ll enjoy discovering it.
Thank you so much, Sheila! And please, make sure to visit her blog for more inspiring interiors and home decorating ideas. She’s fantastic with DIY projects!

It’s so nice to be back guest posting at Home Bunch! Thank you for inviting me over, Luciane!
As you all know, Luciane does an amazing job of finding great homes and quaint escapes to share with the rest of us, so today I wanted to share one of my favorite places in the Cowichan Valley. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the area, the Cowichan Valley is located on sunny southern Vancouver Island in British Columbia.
And tucked away in the picturesque mountains of North Cowichan is a beautiful little place called Teafarm, an organic tea farm and gallery home to world class Margit Nelleman Handbuilt Ceramics.
A stop in at Teafarm is like being swept away to another world. Won’t you join me for this photo tour?
Welcome to Teafarm.
A place where time stands still…
And you are always greeted by a friendly face. 🙂
You’ll find layers of function woven effortlessly into the beauty of every turn.
And some moments seemingly left untouched…
From another time when Teafarm was a cattle farm, and then a horse farm.
Splashes of colour pop up here and there against the natural backdrop Mother Nature creates.
You’ll find trays of Calendula drying in the sun in preparation for one Teafarm’s many organic blends.
And a garden that enchants. How can something so carefully cultivated seem so natural and wild all at the same time?
Meet the remarkable owners behind all this magical beauty…
Margit Nellemann and Victor Vesely
Margit, the artist behind all the gorgeous ceramic works, and baker extraordinaire of a decadent flourless chocolate torte! Victor, the cool connoisseur of tea, and master of creating a unique Teafarm experience!
A Moroccan tea service awaits Victor’s pouring finesse, while fresh spearmint picked straight from the garden will form the base for the Moroccan tea.
At Teafarm you will find baskets of packages, tins…
Crates that nod to the old world of tea.
And bulk canisters for the serious drinkers in the crowd!
As you step inside, crossing the threshold is a seamless transition from the outdoor palette to the zen of Teafarm awaiting.
Natural light floods this wabi sabi space,
With light dancing across the room, and shadows playing on the walls.
Streaming through a wall of windows that frames the tapestry reflected on both sides.
Margit’s one-of-a-kind ceramic pieces are all handbuilt using a combination of coiling and slabbing. This means they’re created without the use of a wheel.
Teafarm. Creating the experience, savoring the memories.
A place where all you want to do is stay…
Just a little while longer.
I hope you enjoyed this get away, and that it has given you a moment to pause…
For more information on Teafarm and Margit Nellemann Handbuilt Ceramics, I urge you to visit their websites. These photos are only just a snapshot of so much more.
Thank you again, Luciane, for inviting me to join you today. It was truly my pleasure! 🙂

Wow Sheila. it looks magical…I’m going over to check it out – I have to plan a weekend up island soon. Thank you for sharing this place!
Very unique pottery! Have to admit tho the thing I keep looking at is the yard that is visible thru the windows in a couple of the interior shots. Probably because I’m experience so much angst over my unmanicured yard. These look like mine but for some reason it looks good to me here…I need to look at mine again with a fresh perspective 😉
Thank you again, Luciane, for inviting me to be your guest today! I look forward to the day when we can enjoy an afternoon together ar Teafarm!
xo Sheila
