Home design trends – they come and go, and 2018 is bringing us new and old styles that will make our homes look fabulous.

However, there are lots of trends that won’t be suited to everyone’s taste or budget, and some may not have the time or desire to completely revamp their interiors. But we have some good news for you all: many previous styles are expected to make a huge comeback this year, meaning you can re-use some old pieces (or find yourself unexpectedly on-trend!).

Previous Trends Making a Comeback:

1: Black and White

A trend that will never go out of date; monochrome is ranked as one of the top trends that are never going to go out of style. With its classic look, it exudes a sense of sophistication as well as elegance. These two colors will always remain the best classical blend, no matter what else comes in and out of fashion.

Having a lot of pictures hung on your walls is no longer a thing of the past, so it’s time to scour Pinterest for tips on creating the perfect gallery wall. Slowly but surely creeping back into our lives, filling our walls with photos of close family and friends, mixed in with some original artwork, will give any room in your home plenty of style.

White will continue to reign as the most popular kitchen colour, but coloured cabinets are giving the room an overall lift.

Serenity is going to govern bedrooms all across 2018, with minimalist designs, colors that soothe us, functional and simple furnishings, and delicate fabrics. This trend is being driven by those of us wanting a bit of tranquility in our busy lives, and don’t be surprised if you see lots of natural materials and textures featuring heavily in the bedroom: it’s the perfect way to wind down for some rest and relaxation.
