Stone Canyon Road is a famous street in Los Angeles where many celebrities and movie stars live. This house has the combination of Hollywood and architectural history. Designed for movie star Judy Garland by Wallace Neff, the architect of California’s Golden Age. Also, other celebrities lived in this house, including Quincy Jones, Marvin Gaye and Jerry Magnin.
This traditional Los Angeles house has been totally renovated and it’s situated on approximately 2.5 acres of land and it’s located only minutes from the Hotel Bel-Air. This home is perfect for entertaining and have hosted some of the most prominent figures in Hollywood. Complete with 5 bedrooms, classic bathrooms and a cook’s kitchen that looks out to the picturesque garden. A large pool, separate cabanas and an original writers’ cabin can be found in the private backyard.
You can live on the “street of dreams” (Stone Canyon Road) for $6,995,000. Well, I think I’ll stay on my “street of dreams” for now. How about you?
I hope you enjoy the tour!
Drive
The curb-appeal of this house is just incredible.
Front
Perfection! You can’t miss the black & white effect the door and shutters give and the beautiful brick.
Foyer
Very well done. I really like the staircase and the framed art.
Dining Room
Pink curtains are not for everyone. They took the risk and tried to add a delicate touch in this traditional dining room.
Living Room
This could be a perfect room if it wasn’t for the valances. I’d rather see curtains to give more balance and scale to the room.
By the Window
A separate sitting area within the living room.
Powder Room
The stunning mirror gives some interest to this powder room.
Kitchen
I really like the color on the cabinets. It feels fresh and unexpected in a traditional house like this one.
Island
The kitchen feels large, yet welcoming.
Cook
Wouldn’t you like to cook in this kitchen?
Eating Area
The oversized bench creates a very comfortable place to sit while having your meals.
Butler’s Pantry
Practical and elegant.
Sunroom
I adore this sunroom.
Green
Isn’t it so inviting? Take a look at the garden views!
Upstairs
The framed art continues to the second level.
The Ugly Rug
This master bedroom really disappointed me. I can’t believe they added this ugly rug to this beautifully designed bedroom! Do you agree with me?
Master Bathroom
On the other hand, the master bedroom is a winner from top to bottom!
Vanity
Oh, I wish it was mine!
Hey, Kids
These beds are great!
Someone had too many cookies! zzzzz
Girl
I like the color scheme of this bedroom. Perfect for a girl.
Bathroom
Classic designed.
Back
Stunning!
Patio
One of the most beautiful patios I’ve seen. Immaculate! Actually, the backyard is the reason I posted this house today.
View
A view of the backyard.
Pool & Cabin
The pool, pool-house and writer’s cabin are situated on the upper side of the backyard, which is perfect when you have young kids.
Sunny Day
Safe and fun!
What are your thoughts on this house? I think it’s beautiful inside and I love the classic design of this house, but the outdoors speak even more to me. I simply love how beautiful and immaculate it is. It makes me want to get out and get my garden ready for spring. Talking about that, has spring sprung there yet?

I just popped over to Style for Living and loved reading your interview. You are so much fun to get to know better… and I couldn’t do the math for question #1 😉
This home is very pristine, neat and tidy. The outdoor space is amazing with the lush green surrounding it. And I loved the little cabin!
Beautiful home and about 45 mins. from me by freeway(no traffic). Would love to live in it. Would make some of the same changes you would. The mirror in the bath is stunning.
So pretty!

Beautiful home… thanks for sharing.
Luciane,
Loved your interview. It’s fun to get to know a blog friend better.
This house is amazing…and only $6+million…what a bargain. 🙂
Karen
Love the house…only complaint 9have to change at least one thing) is the brick outside…too new and precise looking…I would have done reclaimed brick with big grout to give it patina and a feeling of age.
Otherwise, I’ll take it! 🙂
I loved your ABC interview today Luciane! This is a beautiful home too…especially the foyer. Stately and beautiful!
What a stunner!! The back yard would sell it for me!!!
Amazing Luciane… and yes I would love cooking in that kitchen! xv
Hi Luciane!!! I just read your ABC interview 😀
So fun! I actually took out my calculator, haha! I am with you on the shower cleaning, my friend.
This house is a beauty – but honestly I did a double take (literally) on that master bedroom image. I can’t believe the area rug either – I’m glad you noticed too.
xoxo Sherri
LOVE the outside…just gorgeous! But the inside needs lots of help!! I could be gorgeous too! I agree with all your comments!
