As you probably know I love interior design and I believe that good design should start in the kitchen. The kitchen is where we not only cook, but also where we spend a good portion of our day. For that reason, I think kitchen design is especially important and deserving of the highest professional knowledge you can have.
Take for example this kitchen designed by Warmington & North, where kitchen design and architecture was evidently taken very seriously.
This kitchen has a very elegant approach with white marble countertops, classic cabinets and dark hardwood floors. The brass found on the cabinet hardware and light fixtures bring the necessary warmth the space deserves.
This is kitchen design as its finest and I hope you feel inspired by it.
Kitchen Design
Beautifully designed. The dark hardwood floors contrast perfectly with the cabinets. The faucet is by ROHL.
Design
I love the antiqued brass hardware. It adds an old-world feel to this kitchen.
A similar color for the cabinets is Dunn Edwards’ Hidden Hills, DE5569.
All Love
The countertops are carrera marble and the pot filler is by ROHL. A similar light fixture can be found here.
Mudroom
The view of the kitchen from the mudroom. I love the bead board paneling.
Atrium White by Benjamin Moore is a similar color for the walls.
Walking Closet
I know this post is all about that kitchen, but I couldn’t resist this closet! I had to share it with you.
This is the kind of closet that I love. Everything is tucked away (no dust!) and the space feels just like a chic dressing room.
I can’t believe it’s Wednesday already! As I mentioned yesterday, I’m very busy lately and it’s amazing how time seems to fly when you’re busy. I remember when I was a kid and a week seemed to be a month. Do you remember that feeling? I guess the more you have to do, the faster time goes by, right?
Talking about being busy, no matter how busy I am, my kids are always my priority and yesterday I read “Goodnight Moon” to my little one a thousand times. That’s his favorite book and I just love seeing how happy he feels every time I get that book. He smiles, laughs and I can feel happiness right in front of me.
That inspires me to look more around and see what makes me feel happy. We should learn to enjoy more what brings joy to our lives and really show happiness on our face.
Let’s smile more and allow ourselves to be happier today.

This is my idea of a dream kitchen, I love everything about it. It’s elegant, relaxing an I would love to cook and bake there to my heart’s content.
I also like the dressing room/closet, a nice place to while away the afternoon (and maybe no one would look for you there, lol).
Love you site.
What a perfect kitchen layout. The whole house is so warm, friendly and elegant. I like the Benjamin Moore paint colour used in the mudroom too. How cute is that collection of dog head walking sticks below the picture of the dog and the dog leads!
Had to smile at ‘Goodnight moon’, it was my husband’s absolute favourite too. đŸ™‚
Wow. Thats one gorgeous kitchen! Love the cabinet color and the dark floor. Thats a mudroom? I thought it was a living room. Its very inspiring, but its kind of depressing at the same time. To see all these gorgeous rooms, and knowing I will never have anything like it. Just the faucet alone, in the kitchen is around $700! I have been looking for a faucet, so I know how expensive they are. Dream on, I guess.
The kitchen is absolutely gorgeous…but that closet is amazing as well. I love the curtains but there is just one thing that really bothers me. Curtains hanging ontop of a window seat do not work…they always look messy! I wonder why they did not do romans or something there. The curtains are great in the other window…is it just me?
Luciane,
What a lovely chandelier and I loved the mudroom. Thanks for the resource information on this home.
