If you could only feel how happy I am for being in front of my computer as I prepare this Fall of Parade of Homes house tour for you. I can’t tell you how much I love what I do, how much I love to be able to share my passion with each and every one of you and most of all, how grateful I am for having YOUR PRESENCE on the Home Bunch blog! After feeling sick and with lots of pain for over a year, today marks a week from the abdominal surgery I had and I am feeling stronger and more grateful than ever. I can say that I finally feel like myself again and I can’t wait to continue sharing the many amazing homes we’ll continue seeing together. Now, let’s take a look at this gorgeous Modern Farmhouse!
Located in Eagle, Idaho and built by Alturas Homes with interiors by Lauren Smyth Interior Design, this is their most recent project and this Modern Farmhouse is part of the Fall of Parade of Homes that is currently happening from Oct 1-17. Here, the interior designer shares her vision for this fresh Modern Farmhouse project:
“In this home I wanted to go for a warm moody palette with high contrast. On the cabinets I love the way the Sherwin Williams Caviar turned out, it is such a rich shade of black that still feels warm. I wanted to pair it with texture and interest so there was visual warmth, I did this by bringing in the pendants from CB2 that are oversized and coordinated really well with the marble look porcelain slab from Bedrosians. These are two power players that make up the focal point of this common area. On the other side of the space is the most beautiful living room. Here, the cabinets stand out next to the tiled fireplace done in all black. I wanted modern and classic to juxtapose in this space to create a balanced palette overall and bring just as much drama as the kitchen. For the primary suite I wanted to keep the same feeling going so dark marble look floors with a bright glossy dimensional pop of oversized subway tile in the shower mellowed out by the white oak on the cabinetry. Throughout the rest of this home you’ll notice clean high contrast pattern, marble, gold and the warmth of wood. I love all these elements and how they paired together in this space!” – Lauren Smyth
