Recently built by Sorento Custom Homes, this home was inspired by farmhouse lines and the use of tall and vaulted ceilings that bring interest to the interiors. Inside, warm wood tones are complemented with gold hardware and fixtures with a muted color palette for a serene and calming environment.

The 15’ ceilings in the foyer create a grand entrance with views down the hallway to the main living room space.

A vaulted ceiling with wood beams and shiplap centered on the double sided stone clad fireplace make this room the heart of the home.

“The living room of this home was slightly smaller than some and we didn’t want it to feel too tight with furniture selections. The symmetry in this room was also very strong with the vaulted ceiling and fireplace and that needed to be considered with furniture placement. By anchoring the main sofa against the wall we were able to provide circulation on the other three sides of the living room space. Two arm chairs on the opposite side of the sofa provide conversational seating but do not feel too heavy or obstructive for the flow of the main living spaces.” – Sorento Homes

This home was inspired by a modern version of a European farmhouse. Calming neutrals with warm wood tones make their way into all the finishes and furniture selections. Gold hardware accents and vintage inspired fixtures adorn the spaces for a feminine touch. Brown leather add character to many of the furniture pieces and contrast the light grey and taupe fabrics. The muted palette creates an inviting space to retreat after a long day.

This is one of my favorite chandeliers lately! The price is not too bad and it’s gorgeous in person!

“Apart from the many built-in features of this home, the use of a wall mural in the second bedroom provided a significant impact for what would otherwise be a mundane room. The home was staged as a nursery with the backdrop of an abstract painting that seemed to include almost every color tone consistent through the rest of the home. The mural anchored the room and was complimented by a custom window seat and beautiful wall sconces. A faux fur rug and many pillows were added for soft textures.” – Sorento Custom Homes
