Hello everyone! Did you guys miss seeing some great interiors? So here we go again…
Nantucket is known for its beautiful shingle style homes and whenever I see this kind of house I wonder how they should look inside. Some have a more traditional feel while others feel they were built to embrace the beautiful nature and water views, which is the case of this outstanding house. Built by architect Matthew Sapera Fine Homes and interiors by Barbara Waltman, this house has 6 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, 6 fireplaces and 4 porches spread across the two levels of the building.

To The Near Beach
Oh, so light and airy. You can breathe in this space, you can almost fell the breeze coming from the front door down the hallway.
Family Room
When does white and blue look bad together, right? Stunning!
Living Room
This living room has a very calming aura, thanks to the white walls and furnishings.

Hallway
The lanterns look fantastic in this hallway.
Green
The dining room has a “minimal” feel without feeling cold. I love the punch of color coming from the artwork and vase.
Kitchen
This kitchen is perfectly done. You notice how everything seems to be within reach.
Eating Area
Look at the sofa with side tables on each side. It’s a great idea if your family room isn’t connected to the kitchen.
Den
The den feels warmer than the rest of the house. Talking about warm, take a look at the glass top desk_ that’s the opposite of warm. I have a glass top and my hands are always freezing when I’m working, even during summer. So, if you’re thinking about getting one, keep this fact in mind. And yes, I’m on hunt for a new desk. đŸ™‚

Simply gorgeous and heavenly.

This master bedroom feels delicate without being too feminine.

This house has a very classic architecture.

Isn’t great to see some many amazing baths they’re making these days? It’s getting easier to add classic beauty to our homes.

I really like the idea of using subway tiles on the tub.

Everything feels uncomplicated in this house and I think we should be inspired by that. Our homes shouldn’t be filled with “things” just to feel “full”. We should learn to leave with cleaner lines, lighter ambient and “quieter” rooms. Leave space to breathe, make your decor inspire you, not tire you.
How are you feeling today? Could you take some time for yourself during the weekend, or was it as busy as always? I was thinking of going to bed as soon I put the kids to sleep, but that never really happens. That’s the time I try to do some work, spend some time with my husband, prepare posts. Besides, I’m working on a project that is constantly in my mind, in a positive way. It’s something that’s making me very excited. Life is busy, always. But at the same time I love having this feeling that I’m doing the right thing in the right moment. Do you feel this way sometimes? I was driving the other day and thought about what’s going on in my life and everything felt right. Notice, I said “right”, not “perfect”. It hasn’t been always this way, but one thing I’ve learned, you need to persevere in whatever you believe. Success, of any kind (work, marriage, parenting) will only come with perseverance and patience. Keep this in mind, even when you’re having a bad day.

Just stunning…..truly beautiful. I assume they dont’ have young kids, given all the white, but its awfully pretty to look at. I would want my house to look a lot like this if I had a house in Nantucket.

The house is simply gorgeous.. very clean and fresh.. I would like just the smallest bit of colour in it though as my eyes don’t really see anything if you know what I mean.. something that would make my eyes move around the room..
