Oh, it’s so wonderful to be back to do what I love! How have you guys been? Did you have fun during the holidays?
Before we start talking about this beautiful ski lodge, I have to apologize for taking this long to come back. At first, I wanted to take a small break from the blog to be able to finish a project I was designing for a client from Australia and also to enjoy Christmas with my family. I was able to do it all but I’d have come back earlier if it wasn’t for a small accident I had during Christmas. Believe it or not, I ended up at the hospital on the 25th! I cut my finger so badly (watch out for new knives!!!) while preparing Christmas dinner and I had to rush to the hospital. How pathetic is that? LOL I know it sounds a bit funny, a little cartoon-ish, but the pain I felt was terrible.
I’m getting better now and I can type slowly. I’ll take the stitches out on Tuesday, but I think it will be fine. Despite this, I must say that we had one of the best Christmases ever. The kids really enjoyed everything and it was a blessing seeing them so happy. We probably won’t forget the fact we all had to rush to the hospital, but we definitely will also remember all the great moments we had together.
Now, let’s go back to the fun part! (Have I told you I’m so happy to be back yet?! ;-))
As soon I saw this ski lodge, located in Crested Butte, I knew I had to post about it. Not because it’s winter and this is the perfect place to enjoy the snow, but mostly because of its interiors. This is a place filled with great ideas that can be applied to our own home and that makes it a very inspiring place to see and, of course, visit.
Let me know what you think!
Living Room
The “Scarp Ridge Lodge” is a place I want to visit someday.
Kitchen
It doesn’t feel it belongs to a ski lodge, does it? The beams and floors are stunning. I also love the creamy color of the cabinets.
Lounge
The nook is elegant, yet casual. I believe this space is used more for lounging than eating, judging by the size of the table.
This is a great place to sip a cup of cocoa while reading your favorite magazine. Remember, home only feels like home when we create spaces where we can relax and do what we like to do…
Family Room
This “family room” is all about comfort without forgetting about style.
The frames bring some interest to the room.
Lounge Area
A mix of elements make this room feel eclectic and interesting.
Fireplace
Just bring a good book and relax by the fire.
Sage
Sage can be a very relaxing color in a bedroom if well applied. The trick is not overdo it and combine it with other neutral colors.
Sleepy Mornings
Natural elements add some casualty to the decor.
Sweet Dreams
Pure perfection!
Neutral
Small in space but big in style.
Coastal Colors
The color palette of this room reminds me a coastal home. Isn’t it beautiful?
Caramel
This is a great room if you like a hint of color! The orange brings some warmth to the decor.
Playroom
Vintage-inspired, this playroom is sure to entertain the kids.
Media Room
Now, imagine coming here to watch a movie after skiing all day.
View
Before the movie, I think I’d spend a couple of hours in this hot tub, just enjoying the view and relaxing…

Isn’t it the best way to enjoy winter? π

Wow! That last photo is amazing. Colorado is a gorgeous state and this lodge the perfect spot for a LONG stay. I’d need to soak in the Jacuzzi at least once a day!
I’m SO sorry to hear about your accident. That must have been very painful and I am sure your family was worried! I’ve had close calls myself ..watch out for the knives! Keep your fingers curled slightly inward when you slice, right?
Hope you heal up quickly!
We missed you! Sorry about your accident! I did the same thing years ago at Thanksgiving. I hope you continue to heal.
This was a great find and going on my private Pinterest board for new house ideas!
Happy New Year from Montana!
Sorry to hear about your horrible start of Christmas Day! Glad you are on the mend. Have a great 2013, stay safe!
Best,
Gloria
So glad to have you back. Wishing you a speedy recovery and a wonderful new year.
Happy new year Lucianne! Sorry to hear of your accident, sounds like something I would do. Missed you but glad you took time off, its important. THIS is gorgeous!! I am in love….what a beautiful and sophisticated but warm, cozy and inviting ski house…perfect!!
Luciane,
Happy New Year. Sorry to hear about your accident but happy to know you’ll be good as new very soon.
What a beautiful place. I would have never guessed any of these rooms were tied to a lodge, more like someone’s beautiful home in Aspen, or someplace like that. Wow!
Karen
Love this. Also enjoyed following the link and seeing the Tarentaise (French Alps) chalet. Wow. Hope your finger heals quickly. Nothing like hurting a finger to realize how you use them constantly – not to mention using a keyboard!
Glad to have you back. I have missed your beautiful inspiring images. Hope all heals well. Happy New Year to you and your family. A little belated but nonetheless sincere. Drop by for a look at the brand creator’s turn on shabby chic.
Happy New Year Luciane!
So sorry to hear about your mishap; these things sure can slow a busy person down but you always have the best attitude. This house is spectacular, thank you for the vusual treat. Always look forward to your blog and very happy to hear you had a wonderful holiday season (stitches and all)

Oh no, Luciane – what a start to Christmas. Glad you are on the mend. What a gorgeous home – love the bedroom with the blue pillows and paneling.
Just catching up on leaving my comment now! I read post this on my phone, but it’s not very friendly for allowing me to comment… Welcome back, Luciane! I am so sorry to hear about your finger – that’s truly not cool π I hope it’s healing well, and that you don’t have any long-term effects from the cut. Here’s to wishing you an amazing year ahead, my friend!
