As an interior designer, I am always looking for new interior ideas when designing my clients’ homes and as I was looking for kitchen designs I found a new kitchen project that Martha O’Hara, from Martha O’Hara Interiors, just completed.
This beautiful two-toned kitchen features gorgeous vaulted ceilings with planks, a practical layout with a large kitchen island, white cabinets and gray walls. The kitchen island and the custom range hood add warmth to this kitchen thanks to the wirebrushed white Oak cabinetry with gray stain. Neutral tile backsplash complements the cabinets while walnut hardwood flooring completes the look.
There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this kitchen and it has lots of great materials, but one of the elements that grabs my attention the most is the amount of natural light this room receives. I also love the stunning floral fabric used on the bar stools. That fabric makes this entire kitchen feel less serious and more welcoming… it adds a splash of happiness to this space.

Hello, my beautiful friends! How are you today?
Everything is good around here and we had a really great weekend! My daughter scored six goals during her hockey games and I feel so proud of her! She’s the only girl on her team and she really rocks! π My eldest son made me so proud also… he came home on Friday with his report card and a “shiny” A+ on math! I knew he was going to be a blessing in my life the moment I found out I was pregnant with him. I just felt it…
I’m also excited because my “baby” is turning four this Tuesday! I can’t believe he is turning four! I don’t want to spoil him, but he will always be my “baby”, the one I always want to carry in my arms… π I guess we all feel this way, no matter how old our kids get, right?
Other than being surrounded by my kids, my husband and I cooked a lot during this weekend! He made a Thai Red Chicken Curry on Saturday and I made my Grandmother’s gnocchi with my daughter today. My dear late grandmother used to often make gnocchi for me because she knew it was my favorite food. That and panettone, of course. Yep, I have some Italian blood in me.. π
Look, I know it all sound perfect and I am not one of those people you meet and will give you the impression that their lives are perfect, because let’s be honest, nothing is, but I can tell you this, this weekend was as perfect as it gets around here, not because everyone was in such perfect mood and in the most perfect behavior but because we were together, and that makes everything feel just perfect to me.
Have a Blessed week, filled with good memories.
Thank you for being here today, my friends. We’ll chat some more tomorrow!
