Today, we will be touring an Idaho home recently built by Alturas Homes and with interiors by Lauren Smyth Interior Design. This home doesn’t feel complicated but it certainly doesn’t lack authenticity and it has plenty of layered textures, warm elements and nature-rooted colors.
Here, the designer, Launren Smyth, shares some insight on her vision for this new-construction home:
“My main goal for this home was a space that felt refined, timeless yet fresh. I think it’s all thanks to the color on the cabinets being Sherwin Williams Cocoon. It is a warm green that pairs beautifully with so many elements. It can go more polished, more rustic, or more industrial depending on what you put next to it. I wanted to push it more into a cleaned up, handsome space that would be fitting for anyone from a young family to a retired couple.”- Lauren Smyth Interior Design
