Designed by a very talented architect, Mitch Wise Design, this rustic ranch style home was designed to perfection and perfectly mixes rustic decor with elegant elements.
The interiors and the architecture of this house were carefully selected to complement each other. Beautiful furnishings meet reclaimed beams and new ideas for a rustic-inspired kitchen.
Balance is also something you will see here. This home has rustic interiors with a feminine touch, and nothing feels heavy or overly done. In fact, the rustic interiors feel refreshed and reinvented in this ranch house.

It’s always refreshing to see a rustic ranch style home done right! This one is full of personality.
Front Entry
Warm colors were chosen for the exterior of this home, and it feels very welcoming.
Country Flair
This is a great front yard. I love the slate slabs and the rustic timber beams.
Entryway
There are so many inspirational details in this foyer, but the custom floor and brick ceiling with herringbone design really steals the show.
Hardwood is an ebony stained, fumed white oak floor.
Rustic Kitchen
What a refreshing kitchen! I love its originality.
The cabinet finish is conversion varnish (more durable than paint) with an umber glaze applied over. The cabinetry is all custom-manufactured by DeLeers Millwork in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Light fixture is one of my favorites: Grosvenor Three-Light Downlight by Circa Lighting.
Dining Area
I am loving this spacious dining area and family room. It’s the heart of the house!
The table was designed by the talented architect, Mitch from Mitch Wise Design .Urban Evolutions, in Menasha WI, manufacture it. The table is made from reclaimed pine .
The lanterns over the table are Thomas Pheasant for Baker — Grande Venetian Lantern.
Rustic Living Room
The living room has a comfortable and stylish approach with a smart layout.
Living Room Design
This living room is greatly balanced with a rustic-elegant style.
Notice the fabulous built-ins!
Water View
Gorgeous views can be enjoyed from this space.
Barrel chandelier is by Bobo Intriguing Objects.
Butler’s Pantry
The butler’s panty has a more “quiet” design and it offers the same cabinets as the kitchen.
Countertop material is wood-ebonized oak.
Laundry Room
This laundry room is fantastic! We often have limited or no natural light in laundry rooms (especially if it’s located in the basement). This laundry room is not too big, but it feels open thanks to its windows and door.
I also love the idea of adding an island (or table) for easy folding!
Powder Room
Creative design is always refreshing!
This whole powder room is a “conversation piece”.
Hallway
Oh, this floor! This is extraordinary.
Console table is the “Tapestry Console table” by Bobo Intriguing Objects”.
Den
This space is great to relax with a good book or have a drink at the end of the day, as the “bar” suggests.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom is all about that gorgeous view!
Built-in
Be still my heart! This built-in is exceptional in every way!
Bathroom Design
The ensuite feels more feminine than the rest of the house.
Bathtub
A beautiful mosaic detail surrounds the tub.
Shower
Fabulous marble shower for two!
Guest Bedroom
Great views can be enjoyed from this bedroom. Although I like the elements found here, I would prefer seeing neutral window treatments. This one steals the serenity from the space. But that’s an easy change, right? 🙂
Green & Gray
Water views can also be enjoyed from this bedroom. This is a well-designed home, where most of the bedrooms face the view.
Also, notice the crown molding. Isn’t it beautiful? Here, the architect explains how to achieve this look: “The crown is actually a three piece assembly,combining a five inch cove , a ceiling bead and a bottom profile. The space in between the mouldings is smooth plaster, painted the same to create the look of a one piece crown.”
Small Bathroom
This guest bathroom feels masculine and contemporary.
Green Bedroom
What a stunning bedroom! I love everything here.
Window treatment fabric is by Romo Industries.
Bed is from Hickory Chair and the bedding is a custom for this room –the fabric is by Duralee.
Paint Color
Wall Paint Color: “Svelte Sage by Sherwin Williams”.
Backyard
This is a truly well-designed ranch home, not to mention, spacious!
Rustic Architecture
Lovely architectural details and gardens.
Rustic Beams
The reclaimed beams are the show-stopper element of this house.
Sunroom
This sunroom is rustic yet very inviting. The perfect place to curl-up by the fire in a chilly night.
A Window
A pass-through window by Loewen is practical and architectural.
Light fixture is by Visual Comfort, but discontinued.
