With snow falling outside and a fire roaring right in front of me, I couldn’t pick a better home to share with you today.
Located in Montana, this approximately 3500 sq.ft. ski lodge (or mountain home as many call it) is a place that stuns with its refined rustic interiors.
Artfully designed by Peace Design Architects & Designer and Highline Partners, Ltd, this home uses natural and reclaimed materials such as Harlowton Stone, wide plank oak floors and fir beams, incorporating mountain rustic with modern architecture that often pleases many.
It’s easy for anyone to imagine spending a weekend at this ski lodge, skiing all day and coming home to enjoy some quiet time by the fire…
Welcome to winter wonderland!

We’re still in the middle of a snow storm but we managed to stay put and watch a Christmas movie together with some hot cocoa.
I just hope the kids don’t have school tomorrow, so we can stay in bed a little longer… is there any other better place to be in a cold, stormy day? 🙂
Have a fun and safe week, my friends.
It’s a blessing having each and every one of you here!

Amazing home ! What a treat to see inside – the photos are just beautiful ! I’m ready to move right in – one of my favorite styles of decorating – thanks for a view of “how the other half lives”!
One of my favorite styles also – love this home!
Sure wish I was friends with these homeowners so I could stay in that dreamy guest room and then have coffee and read blogs at the kitchen table while looking out at the mountains. I have the photo of the plate rack on a Pinterest board and it’s been repinned a bunch. Glad I got to see the rest of this house.
Dear Luciane,
this house is very cozy and beautiful I want to go in it. In Germany wie miss the snow but it
was so much in the last years!!
Thank you for your warm words and many greetings.
Thanks for showing this amazing home. It’s cosy, it’s quirky, how can you not love it? 😀
One of the most amazing houses I wish I could visit for myself and maybe stay for a month! 😀 The kitchen design is full of inspirational ideas. Indeed, the antique iron cookie sheets for a backsplash design is awesome!
Hi Lucian,
I would like to pin the media/bunk room on pinterest but I think you’re the only one who can. I’d like to keep this picture for future reference. Is it possible to pin it myself? As always, you have the best design ideas and inspiration. Thank you so much and have a wonderful holiday season with your family!

Fabulous. There are so many wonderful details.
