Designed by Ron DiMauro Architects and located in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, this beach cottage seems to be just the perfect place to spend Summers and Holidays.
With only just over 900 SF and roughly 22′ x 42′ in size, this small beach cottage is all about charming white interiors with a pop of coastal-inspired color and decor. This place really shows that you can make any small space appear bigger than it is with you choose the right paint color, furniture and accessories.
Take a look at this beautiful and smart-designed beach cottage and let me know if you agree with me that this coastal cottage is as good as it gets!
Small Beach Cottage with Inspiring Coastal Interiors
What I like the most about this cottage is that it feels lived in. Nothing feel precious in this space and the soft color palette works perfectly with coastal living.
Notice the built-in bench and the beautiful table. A half wall creates some separation from the living room to the kitchen,. The wall also allows natural light to enter to the rest of the house and it doesn’t interrupt the ocean views.
Coastal Kitchen
This kitchen has a perfect layout for a small space. It feels open and it has plenty of character.

Sunroom
Isn’t it easy to fall in love with this cottage? I could spend an entire afternoon in this sunroom, just looking at that amazing view and feeling the ocean’s breeze.
Bunk Room
Custom bunk beds are a smart investment in any small cottage. I am loving the causal, fun decor found in this room.
Bring Your Guests
This is yet another well-designed room in this cottage. Notice the recessed shelves in the bunk beds and the windows.
Patio
The patio is small but it’s full of character. The side privacy wall is perfect for homes with small lots.
Cottage Life
An outdoor shower and that view… what else can you ask for?
Summer, sunshine and beach cottages… no matter what time of the year it is, I can always find a space to share them on the blog. 🙂
I am planning on doing some shopping today (I want to find a nice jacket for myself) and it should be fun.
Thank you for your sweet comments regarding my health. I know I will have to take this seriously, but hopefully I will be feeling much better soon. I am praying for that.
