As Valentine’s Day approaches I can easily see myself going on a trip and spending a romantic weekend in this small lake cottage.
With interiors by Erin O’Connor Design from the blog Just*Grand, and gorgeous photos by Gridley + Graves Photographers, this quaint cottage is all about charm and turquoise and you can almost feel the warm weather and the breeze flowing from room to room.

Turquoise
The original front porch was closed-in to add some extra space to the cottage. The turquoise paint color is Sherwin Williams Bubble SW 6770.
Small Home Layout
This cottage is very small but the furniture layout works perfectly within the space.
Draperies
The paisley drapery fabric is from Calico Corners.
Dining Room
The dining room has an airy and inviting feel. I would love to have my morning coffee surrounded by these beautiful colors!
Turquoise & Green
The turquoise and green plates are cheerful and happy!
Furniture
Distressed painted furniture adds charm to this small cottage.
Smart
When decorating a small space you need to find furniture that can multi-talk. The green sideboard can also be used as a desk.
Kitchen
Small kitchens can be as pretty and useful as big ones! The cabinets of this small kitchen were made by a local craftsman and are made of maple. The designer painted them after they were installed.
The farmhouse sink is the Domsjo sink from Ikea. It’s about 24″x27″
The light fixture is vintage, bought at an antique place in Michigan.
The refrigerator is a Summit.

Paint Color is Gratifying Green from Sherwin Williams.
Blue Bedroom Paint Color
Bedroom paint color is “Sherwin Williams Buoyant Blue SW 6483”.
Bathroom
Having a limited space should never limit your creativity when design it. Here, the interior designer used a 3/4″ x 3/4″ square blue tiles on the floor and used a combination of classic white subway tiles with blue tiles on the shower wall.
