Southampton Estate
According to “The Real Estalker”, sometime in the 1930s Wooldon Manor was acquired by financier Edmund Lynch—founder of Merrill Lynch—who died in 1938. The sprawling oceanfront estate fell into a state of disrepair and in 1941 the massive main house was demolished and a number of the estate’s numerous outbuildings, including the pool house, converted to private residences.

The eating area was incredibly designed! I can’t get over the blue and white ceramic chandelier.

A cozy place to read a book or have some tea with a friend.
Family Room
This family is all about comfort. I love the chandelier and the beams.

Elegant Bedroom
My jaw dropped when I first saw this space!
The master bedroom is very unique and elegant. I love the millwork and that incredible bed.
Bathroom
If you thought you could bring your jaw from the floor, you will have to wait a little longer… my advice? Bring a bib! Yes, this bathroom not only drops your jaw, but it makes you drool too! 🙂
I haven’t seen a great bathroom like this one in a while. It’s just like the master bedroom, unique. It has many elements you have seen before, but done in a new way.

The view from the balcony looks out over the garden and towards the Atlantic Ocean.

The guest bedroom is calm and comfortable. Impressive bed!

Did you enjoy your weekend? The weather was great here… not too hot, nor too cold, which was perfect to get out of the house and play in the garden with the kids. It was lovely.
Plans for this week? Plenty! We’ll be doing some more traveling during this week. I want to visit some places we haven’t before and try some new restaurants… This is one of our favorite things to do when we go to a new city!:-)

Definitely too close to ocean for me too! I guess if you have this kind of money, you head to your other house till the storm passes 😉 These mansions are fun to look at but I honestly wouldn’t be comfortable living in something this large…something I’ll never have to worry about ha ha 🙂

I love the soft, muted colours in the rooms and the greenhouse is fabulous. I especially like the unique architecture that allows it to stand apart from your ‘typical’ mansion on the oceanfront.

That is one manicured lawn, any Englishman would be proud of!
The place is sooo huge. Too scary. I am very practical and frugal. How does/would a person dust all those “things???” Yeah. Maid service! Lots & lots of maids. Well, I’ve never had a maid. Out of my comfort zone. Haa.
Truthfully, it would not ever be feasible for me to purchase a mansion like this …. money or not. Then again, I’d love to hang-out a few times during the year! That would really be something!!
