Located on North Sea Harbor, in Southampton, NY, this beach cottage is for sale for an asking price of $2,550,000.
With crisp white interiors, full of beauty with a classic coastal Hamptons style, this cottage has everything you could wish for, from plank and beadboard walls to a clean, uncluttered feel, often seen in many homes and cottages in this area.
This beach house is well-known in the area as “Fish Shack,” and was featured on the pages of Coastal Living before its top-to-bottom renovation. The coastal cottage now features a new foundation, new kitchen, new appliances, new central air, a new third bedroom, and a new second bath. The décor can be described as: “Reclaimed Old World meets Mid-Century meets the beach.” Features also include peaked ceilings, dark-stained floors, white beadboard, a wall of windows from the open white kitchen to the dining, a fireplace in the living room, and an outdoor shower.
Let’s take a look and let me know if you’d pay $2.5 mil for this beach cottage.
Southampton Beach Cottage for Sale
The new, crisp white kitchen features dark-stained hardwood floors and a practical layout.
Kitchen Island
The kitchen island faces the dining area and the living room. Counter top is carrera marble.
Kitchen Reno
Opening walls is often a smart idea when renovating a kitchen. Here the designer kept an open layout but used wall space to add a wall-to-ceiling pantry.
Dining Room
With ocean views (or snow during winter, as we can see here), this dining area is pure charm! Notice the classic plank board ceiling and the schoolhouse lighting.
Living Room
It doesn’t get more “Hamptons” than this! Crisp and tailored, this living room continues to carry plank walls and ceiling.
The original brick fireplace was painted white to work within the space.
Paint Color
Paint Color: Benjamin Moore Simply White Oc-117.
Cottage Space
This Southampton beach cottage has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and approximately 1,725 sq. ft.
Notice the front door and sidelights.
Coastal Bathroom
This bathroom can be small, but it’s certainly big in personality. I am loving the beadboard walls, the stutters and the coastal decor! Charming!
Master Bedroom
This tiny cottage bedroom is all about architectural details! Notice the ceiling, shutters, windows above the bed and the clean-looking decor. Isn’t it beautiful?
Master Bathroom
The master bathroom features marble flooring, pedestal sink, built-in medicine cabinet, window shutters and a glass shower. Walls feature a mix of planks and beadboard.
Calm Waters
Nothing is more therapeutical than kayaking and I have to give it a try this summer. Who’s with me?
Summer at the Beach
Imagine spending the summer in this gorgeous white, sandy beach. Wouldn’t that be a great experience?!
Many thanks to the realtor for sharing the details above!

It’s great to talk about summer when you know it won’t take long to get there. We’ve being talking about what to do and I still don’t have many plans… we might spend some time at the beach in PEI (one of my favorite places in Canada) or take the kids to Toronto. Both are fun, but very extremes! In one side you have the beach (something we’re blessed enough to always have since we live by it, although it’s not in PEI) and in the other, you have a big city and its many fun things. We could go to the zoo, CN tower, to the Hockey Hall of Fame, and eat at some great restaurants — all things that I know the kids, my husband and I would love to try! Hummm… what would you guys would choose?
How about you? Have you decide what to do this summer yet? It will be here soon… I can’t wait!!! 🙂
Have a Blessed day, my wonderful friends! We’ll talk again tomorrow!
with Love,

This beautiful house would probably be $4 million in Malibu, CA and $500,000 on a lake in Arkansas. Location location location!
I would buy his house in a heartbeat! It is the perfect size for me and my husband and I wouldn’t change a thing! I wish they had been a photo of the front exterior of the house and the view out the back. Love it!
Hi Gail!
I did all I could to find pictures of the front and back… unfortunately, the listing is not posting it.
Thank you for commenting, Gail.
