This house is not a mansion and it’s not decorated in an expensive way. Rather, this house has a French flair that can easily be achieved with affordable flea market finds.
The homeowner of this house located in Spain loved the South of France and decided to renovate and decorate her house to bring a relaxed feel that the French are well-known for doing effortlessly. She felt inspired by the region and decided to decorate the entire house herself. She collected pieces with personality found in antique stores and used many others that she already had to save some money. She painted everything she could in very neutral hues.
The result is a home where anyone can feel comfortable because nothing is too precious. This is certainly a place where neutral pieces bring harmony and relaxation in a very balanced way.
Romantic House in Spain
The house is located close to the beach and it is surrounded by trees. Classic linen sofas work as canvas. You can add any kind of pillow on them to accommodate your style. Add colorful ones for some excitement, or neutral for a quieter mood. Here, the homeowner decides to keep everything calm and relaxed.
Red & White
It’s not too hard to achieve this look. I often suggest my clients to buy pillows from Etsy. I like supporting small business and you usually can find pillows for an affordable price.
Dining Room
This feels very French and very welcoming. I love the doors to the garden, the shutters and the linen on curtains and on the table cloth. The rug and chandelier are also perfect for the space.

I hope you had a great weekend. Unfortunately I can’t say the same. I ended up at the hospital Thursday morning and almost had a surgery. Yes… how crazy is that? I’m not feeling very good lately, and I actually will have the surgery, but my doctor decided to wait a couple of weeks. He thinks it will be safer for me.
It’s a “simple” surgery, but the recovery is quite long, about 6 weeks and I feel very frustrated because, having a surgery isn’t fun for anyone, but it’s even harder when you have small children to take care of.
So, I’m sorry I’m a little down and worried. I know that I’ll get better soon. I just need to find courage, strength and be positive and I’m slowly getting there. 🙂
I’ll work normally until then and I’ll try to prepare posts for when I’m recovering. I’ll let you guys posted about when I’m having the surgery and all, ok? Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy the beautiful homes I share with you and trust me, this keeps me motivated and helps me to forget about all of these little problems… 🙂
