What comes to your mind when you envision the perfect white kitchen for yourself? For many, a white kitchen design should have crisp white cabinets, white marble countertop and very often, the popular white subway tiles. That’s a very beautiful concept of how a white kitchen should be designed, but we’re often seeing them becoming less predicable, and instead, we’re seeing kitchens that have more personality, with more color and surprises, while keeping the main characteristics of a white kitchen.
For instance, the interior designer, Rebecca Diggs, from Diggs Designs, thought this white kitchen should have a chic approach. The cabinets were painted in a creamy white paint, the counters are granite and the light fixtures above the island were chosen for their functionality and for their obvious beauty.
Almost every white kitchen should have some warm elements to create a good balance, otherwise it can become a cold space, where you have expensive products combined in an awkward way. Here, the designer wisely dark stained the island and used dark oil rubbed bronze hardware to add contrast with the white cabinets.
The paint color chosen brings some youth and fun to the space while making the cabinets appear even crispier and more architectural.
This shows we can imagine a white kitchen with color, personality and full of life!
White Kitchen
The floor is an unfinished oak floor with a Minmax English Chestnut finish. Yet, another warm choice to complement the white cabinets.
Kitchen Design
Beautiful details can be found on the cabinets and backsplash.
Countertop
This durable granite countertop is called “Bianca Romano”. The faucet is by Moen.
Cabinets
White Dove OC-17 by Benjamin Moore is a similar color for the cabinets. The light fixtures (Salento Four Light Dual Mount Pendant in Persian White) are by Quorum International.
Sunroom
Color and a natural approach can also be found in the sunroom. Notice the lovely views!
How are you doing today? I’m working until late because we had a very long day. The birthday party was really fun and we had a fantastic day together, but I must admit, I’m exhausted right now! đŸ™‚
The house if full with balloons and I can still hear the kids laughter. It was a beautiful, memorable day and I did everything with love.
I guess this is the best reward you can get at the end of the day… the feeling you lived your day experiencing love.
